We file the import declaration (DUA) through VEXCAN — the single digital window for customs in the Canary Islands — and settle the 0% IGIC and applicable duties with the Canarian Tax Agency (ATC) and the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT).

ITV inspection & technical approval

We take the vehicle to the ITV with all documentation. If the vehicle does not have a European Certificate of Conformity (CoC), we obtain the reduced technical data sheet or individual approval from Spain's Ministry of Industry and Tourism (MINCOTUR) as required.

Spanish registration & delivery

We submit the full file to the DGT, obtain the Spanish registration plate and deliver the vehicle ready to drive on your island.

We source from the major European used-EV markets — Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France and Norway — where supply is broad and prices competitive. We also access international auctions to widen the available catalogue.

How long does the import process take?+

Between 4 and 8 weeks from vehicle sourcing to delivery with a Canary Islands registration plate. Sea freight from continental Europe takes 7–14 days depending on the port of origin.

Do the cars come with a warranty?+

Yes. European electric vehicles carry a manufacturer's warranty valid throughout the EU, including Spain. Importing to the Canary Islands does not invalidate this warranty. Battery warranties typically cover 8–10 years or 160,000–200,000 km depending on the manufacturer.

Do I need a home charger?+

It's not essential — you can charge from a standard domestic socket — but we strongly recommend it. A 7.4 kW wallbox charges any modern electric overnight. Full installation typically costs between €600 and €1,200 depending on your existing electrical setup.

Can you register the car on my island if it's not Tenerife?+

Yes. We handle import and registration for all Canary Islands: Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. The process is the same regardless of which island you're on.
